A new design of 5G multilayers planar antenna with the enhancement of bandwidth and gain

In this work, we design a microstrip patch antenna having dimension of 3.279x4.232 mm<sup>2</sup> and consisting Foam-like substrate, relative dielectric permittivity 1 with width 0.5 mm, placed between two identical Rogers RT5880 substrates, value 2.2 as permittivity, loss tangent 0.0009 height 0.508 mm. The designed resonates at 28 GHz, featuring maximum gain 9.77 dBi wide frequency bandwidth 2.9 GHz. Compared to the conventional antenna, proposed structure achieved an important enhancement directivity, around 38.8°. CST Microwave Studio software was used for all designs analysis.
